Capturing Video

have been trying to capture some vhs tapes over the last few days on my pc to edit and burn on my ibook.

also, if trying to capture on a pc...dont try use mpeg...use dv! saves lots of time and pain...

seems that imovie doesnt accept muxed mpegs. which means that if you try and capture to mpeg with audio and video...it wont work...

anyway. thought i would share my problems in case some other poor person has the same problems and nearly pulls their hair out like me.
